Right Heel pain

Posted by Carol W on 11/17/03 at 19:19 (137791)

Last spring I was walking on a treadmill and got a terrific pain in my right heel. I thought it was a stone bruise but it didn't go away. I told my internist to no avail then I told my orthopedist I finally saw a newspaper clipping on bone spurs and radio waves. I finally found a podiatrist and he diagnosed Plantar Faciatis. That was 4 months ago. Now I have orthotics and sleep in a boot, but its not getting any better. Is there anything else I can do? I'm a very active 64 yr old that swims 3 or 4 times a week and used to walk 2-3 miles a week.
