Surgery Jan.02, 2004

I've been to see four different orthopaedic specialists since May. I wore a cast for 12 weeks during the summer, the last seven of which were on crutches. I've had two cortisone injections ( both did the trick for a few days). I have been told TTS. No other options except surgery. No pain, no gain? Wish me well. Jeff-Spokane,Wa.

I hope the surgery goes very well for you. The healing process from the surgery is slow, but for me the nerve pain was gone soon after. I am almost 7 months post-op and doing very well----and NO MEDICINE! Yea. Good luck and be sure not to rush the healing.

Hi Carol, Thanks for the well wishes. I will try to remember your caution regarding healing time. Good Luck and have a Merry Christmas. Jeff

Good luck to you Jeff. Remember to TAKE IT EASY! The healing takes time and resting with you foot elevated and doing icing really helps. I'll keep my fingers (and toes) crossed for you. Let us know how it goes.
