INJECTING THE POSTERIOR TIBIAL TENNDONPosted by PAUL P. on 12/27/03 at 14:12 (140815)
I HAD 1 INJECTION FOR POSTERIOR TIB TENDONITIS, AND MY FOOT WAS COMPLETELY NUMB FOR 24 HOURS AND THEN I REGAINED COMPLETE FEELING. HOWEVER THE PAIN RETURNED AFTER ABOUT A WEEK AFTER THE INJECTION. HAVE YOU EVER INJECTED THIS AREA ON PATIENTS AND WHAT IS THE SUCCESS RATE? DO I NEED ANOTHER ONE?

I had my tibial nerve injected about 3 weeks ago, I had releif for maybe 30 hours, My foot was numb for maybe 3 or 4 hours. As I uderstand it if you get the pain back soon ( and a week is considered soon) then surgery is the next option

I had one shot in my left foot, it was numb for a few hours,, better for 3 days. One week later I had another shot one in the Left foot and one in the right. It has been over a month now. Though my pod did tell me he used a stronger shot this time, and I have little pain, only usually when I overdo it(which I try not to). But it has been wonderful to be pretty much pain free over the last month or so. I'm scared for it to start hurting again... but as for now.. seems the 2nd shot in the left foot and only 1 shot in the right have helped.
