If we start paying postage for email, how long before it's up to $.37?

I only use webmail or web based email and pay for the premium services to allow more storage and larger attachents because I often need to email an entire article. Hotmail is free but a bit extra for premium service -- ie. to increase size of attachments and add storage. I use mainly mail.com which charges a modest amount for its premium service.

I think the days of free services on the internet are slowly coming to a close although it will always be less costly than 'brick and mortar' based services.

The email charge that they are talking about, 1 cent per message would only be a nuisance for a normal person. It is aimed at spammers who send out millions of emails. It would really bother them.
