sore feetPosted by Brian M on 4/02/04 at 08:04 (148286)
I have terrible pain in my feet and shins. I have gone to a foot doctor who took xrays. There are no spurs, I do not have flat feet. They just hurt. He told me to wear over the counter orthotics. THey seemed to help a little bit for a while but no they hurt constantly. Even at work sitting down. Is there anything thing I can try to relieve the soreness.

I'm sorry you're in so much pain. The best things you can do in the short run are (1) rest your feet as much as possible, (2) ice your feet frequently, and (3) read the heel pain book on this site. You might also want to experiment with taping your feet for added support.

Sorry, I meant to address my message to you, not Scott!

If I had a podiatrist I would go see him. Sometimes the custom made orthotics can really work wonders. Not all the time but it is worth a few hundred dollars to find out.
