The last 10%Posted by Chris I on 4/04/04 at 21:29 (148406)
Hi Everyone - I developed pf last June. I really did nothing about it but stretch until January. I got orthotics in January and at first they did not do much. In February I went to see my doc and she said to have the arch lifted on my right foot (my pf foot), add heel lifts and a night splint. I also had to be on modified activities basically staying off my foot as much as possible. I am now about 90% pain free. I have the odd twinge and pain in my heel - quite often at rest. I have no pain in my arch. I am wondering what I need to do to become totally pain free? Would physio therapy help at this point?

Physical therapy can be helpful. Please read Scott's Heel Pain Book to understand the full scope of treatment options. If 'conventional' treatments do not work, then ESWT is a good option.
