Could be simple arch stain or PF. Seek professional help if the problem persists. In the meantime: rest, obtain shoes with adequate support and possibly an over the counter orthotic. The best, OTC orthotics, in my opinion are Superfeet: http://www.superfeet.com

What is the difference in arch strain and PF?
Thanks for the link to Superfeet.

Arch strain implies any acute stretching of the structures of the arch including the plantar fascia. Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of a specific structure, the plantar fascia, with most cases here being longstanding or chronic plantar fasciitis.
