Richard CPed Please

Posted by Alex Prato on 5/02/04 at 17:46 (149909)

I have had flexor hallucis and flexor digitorum tenosynovitis for 7 months now and my doc wants to cut me open, with success at only 50%. I was wondering which type of orthotics you could reccomend for this conditon thqt i have. rigid? soft? semi rigid? Also i was told by a pedorthist that he could install a type of nerve support for the inner ankle where my tenosynovitis is occuring. Have you heard if this and does it work?

Have you seen other people with a conditon like mine in your years as a pedorthist and what sucess rate would orthoitics help a conditon loike mine? Thanks for your expertise.

I have actually never come across that before. If the C.Ped knows a way to reduce the swelling and pain, I would give it a try. I am reading that rest and heat will help to reduce symptoms as well.
