uncertain of diagnosis?

Posted by Andria D. on 5/03/04 at 11:07 (149943)

The foot pain in the a.m. was extremly severe, thus the diagnosis of Plantar Fasciitis. A cortisone-like shot in the heel nearly eliminated all foot pain temporarily. However, I am continuing treatment for this with a prescribed pronation wrap and ice as well as stretching exercises and the pain seems to be isolated now to the bottom of the heel and the 'inside' (as opposed to outside) of the heel. Methylprednisolone as a 6 day treatment plan has been prescribed to reduce swelling. The first dose is today. Are we barking up the correct tree, or is it possible these aresymptoms of another problem such as Achilles Tendonitis or the like? Ice and the injection provided the most relief. What are your thoughts?
