tender feetPosted by Janele Weatherston on 5/17/04 at 16:46 (150727)
Help! Sometimes the bottoms of my feet are so tender I can hardly stand to walk on them. This started about 4 months ago. It's mostly comes by mid-afternoon and by evening all I can stand to do is sit with my feet elevated. I can't say that there is a particular spot where the pain radiates from. It is just overall terrible tenderness. In the past there has been some swelling of the ankles and feet but I haven't seen this tenderness when the swelling is here. My blood pressure is great. I am taking Buspar, Trazadone, Spironalactone (for the swelling), Topral for chest pain, and Clonasapam. I am also taking shark oil supplements and fruit and vegetable supplements. I take Calcium supplements and try to keep my ph around 7.2 with a spit test on an alkaline strip. The pain isn't sharp. I do have a slightly swollen plantar facitis-but it doesn't hurt on the heels of either foot but more around the sesamoid bone area all across the foot. It isn't soreness and ouchy pain but such a tenderness that it almost incapacitates me.

I would see a foot specialist. Tarsal tunnel syndrome is one thing that could cause the symptoms you are describing.
