Doctors I was told today that I have a hemetoma on the top of foot . Due to broken blood vessels after nerve block shots three weeks ago. The swelling is the size of half a grapefruit from my toes to ankle painful to touch. I was told It takes time for this to go away and to stay active . Is there anything I could do to control
the swelling and speed up the healing ? Thank you for your time

It is possible to get bleeding under the skin from shots BUT the 'size of half a grapefruit!?!?' A hematoma is a collection of blood but if it is that big , it probably needs to be drained or removed.
