Will the 'narrow' birkenstocks fit a normal-to-slightly narrow foot?

Posted by Brian W. on 5/22/04 at 09:10 (151023)

Hi all,

I'm considering buying a pair of Birkenstocks, the Boston model. My size is 44. The pair I'm considering is described to fit B-C widths. So I take it this is the more narrow version? My foot is more like a D width, but probably sligthly more narrow than most. Would I be better off with the regular Birkenstock width, that is described to fit D - EE? My foot certainly isn't 'wide'.

Brian, I believe I'd go with the narrow. Or at least try that and, hopefully, you could exchange it for a regular width if you are ordering.

I don't have a super narrow foot, but it isn't wide, either, particularly in the heel area. I have a pair of Arizonas that are regular width, but the regular width Bostons just fell off my feet when I tried to walk. So I bought a narrow width in them and still wear them with socks comfortably.

Hope this helps!
Suzanne :)
