Bone Scan???Posted by char B on 6/07/04 at 21:53 (152314)
I have had pf for 6 years, tried everything, could write a book. I'm wondering will a bone scan tell me more of whats going on???? I'm at my end with this pain.

PF is a soft tissue problem so sonography or MRI is more valuable. The purpose of a bone scan is to look for a stress fracture of the heel. There have been a number of theories that many of the tough cases of PF are really stress fractures of the heel bone. It sounds like a reasonable idea but, practically, have run into very few in 22 years.
