Painful tingling in heelPosted by Kate J on 6/27/04 at 04:50 (154009)
Hi. I have recently developed a sharp, slightly painful tingling sensation in my left heel. The phenomena only occurs when I bend over forwards completely. It feels like a very minor electric shock, not unlike the sensation you experience when you knock your 'funny bone' in the elbow, only it lasts only a second or two. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this please? Thanks in advance.

This could be a nerve inflamation and or plantar fasciitis. May be coming from your back.
See a podiatrist so he or she can examine the local nerve in your foot and ankle
