Talonavicular bone fusion

Posted by EricJ on 9/10/04 at 19:15 (159694)

I had a Talonavicular bone fusion about 4 months ago, and I am still having lots of pain. One of the staples is a little to deep and it rubbing on another joint. Another problem is the bones have not fused all the way so now I am using a bone stimulator for 10 hours a day. I am really frustrated with how slow the healing process is. Are bone stimulaters effective? If the bone dosen't fuse is the only option to get the surgery again? Any information that can be given would be much appreciated.

bone stimulators can be effective; if that does not work it will probably need to be revised. where are you located?

Eric, Why did you have this operation? A TNJ fusion is a radical procedure.
