Peroneus Longus TendonitisPosted by Todd W. on 9/19/04 at 04:03 (160158)
I had pf release surgery about 7 months ago in one foot and about 2 months ago in the other. For a really really long time i had cuboid syndrome or lateral column syndrome in both feet. It seems to be finally alleviating but i have pain and tightness all the way up the sides of my ankles and legs along the peroneus longus tendon. I really dont know what to do anymore. Any advice you could give me on any kind of treatment would be extremely apprecaited. Thanks so much.

Need to get an MRI to see if there is a tear in this tendon

It may be because your peroneus longus or posterior tibial tendon is trying to make up for the loss of dynamic force supplied by your plantar fascia. Complications of plantar fasciotomies are not well understood by the medical community. What're your current symptoms? Contact me at (email removed) to discuss your condition.
