Neorontin for nerve pain

Posted by Sherry L on 10/01/04 at 23:27 (160872)

I have been prescribed the drug Neurontin to block the pain
of one of the major nerves that run under my big toe. This pain,
I was told comes from Tarsal tunnel syndrome. I wear orthodics
to support the arches but I still have the nerve pain in my big toe.
What I wanted to know was how long do patients safely stay on this drug?
Also does the nerve ever heal itself? Thanks for your help.

too many variables can influence the answer to both questions.
the cause of the TTS would be the best prognosticator of whether the condition will 'heal'
