A great little sentiment

Posted by Kathy G on 10/28/04 at 09:17 (162315)

And remember this motto to live by:
>Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the
>intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
>preserved body, but rather to skid in
>sideways, chocolate in one hand, margarita in the
>other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
>screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!'

It makes sense to me! :)

Yes, live to the fullest, making the most of every day!

That makes me think of someone I have on my mind right now. She's 84 years old and has always been the 'spunkiest' lady. She still mows her big yard with a pushmower and has worked for many years each summer in the kitchen of the church camp near us. She is retired from working years in the school cafeteria.

She found out this week that she has cancer. She is taking this in stride in her usual matter-of-fact way. She said, 'Well, I just have to deal with it'.

She certainly has always lived each day to the fullest.
Suzanne :)
