Brooks sneakers

Posted by Jill H. on 11/02/04 at 11:26 (162770)

I just bought a pair of Brooks sneakers. They feel pretty good. I'm wearing them without my orthodics since they seem to have good arch support and I have high arches. Is this okay? Do most people were these type of shoes without orthodics?

I think you'll find most orthotic wearers use their orthotics in their running shoes regardless of the support offered in the shoe.

Jill H - It depends on the shoe and how it feels. I do exactly as you are doing; if it feels good without any other alteration, then I wear it that way. If not, I experiment. I like the Brooks shoes (Ariel or Addiction) and also like New Balance. With the Brooks, I find they are fine just as they are. With the New Balance, I use the PowerStep or other.
I hope your Brooks continue to feel good and bring you good relief!
