Post ESWT TreatmentPosted by Ben Lee on 11/08/04 at 15:24 (163262)
I was told not to stretch my plantar fascia, heel, or calf for my post ESWT recovery. I was also told to use a heat pad twice a day on my feet. My question to the doctors who frequent this board is, if and when I should start stretching again. It's been 2 months since my ESWT and I'm wearing powerstep orthotics which seem to make the rest of my body above my feet feel better (knees and hips) so I figure my feet are properly aligned. I'm also in the process or ordering the foot trainer because I feel my foot muscles need to be strengthened. But, anyway, I'm going to the doctor's next week to ask him but it's good to get second opinions, so when would you recommend I start stretching again, if at all?

So long as its not into the bottom of your foot. Sometimes they will do Acupuncture in the Ankle area for the feet
