Heel pain for 4 monthsPosted by aussie on 11/11/04 at 08:12 (163518)
I've had the same heel pain described on tis website since July.
Was playing soccer and just suddenly happened.
I've never been to see any doctor's regarding this pain.
there seems to be no way of making it feel better.
I notice when I walk for a few minutes outside or walk the dog, its hurts more intensly for hours.
And yes, hurts alot in the morning when getting out of bed.
Which would be the best remedy right now?? ice or heat
Would a soft cushioning sole in shoe's be beneficial?

Generally speaking ice is better after activity. Most medical books I read indicate ice for about 20 minutes. The iceing method I find easiest is the ice wraps you throw in the freezer. They have velcro fasteners and can be wrapped around the foot so as to hit almost any spot. they want fall off. Cost $7 or $8 at most large drug stores.
