To the Doctors.. Please Respond

Posted by Michelle M on 11/19/04 at 14:16 (164369)

Once you are sure that your foot pain is nerve related rather than a classic case of PF, what is the best course of action to get it resolved? Are there conservative strategies that you recommend to your patients?injections? or is surgery the only answer?

Where can I learn more about these issues?

Thanks for your repsonse!

My POD referred me to a neurologist for a nerve conduction test and I took it from there with him. I feel he has been very through to rule out anything else going on.

It depends on what is causing the nerve pain.

Dr. Davis,

I had an NCV/EMG. The NCV part was 'normal'. The EMG part showed entrapment of the first branch of the left lateral plantar nerve.

What does this mean in terms possible courses of action?

Thanks for your time!
