Ad for eswt for $680?Posted by Sander on 11/22/04 at 06:44 (164531)
I saw a ad for eswt for $680 for Podatrist . He hs a site called footpaindoc There is a disclaimer at the bottom of ad and it says it is a 22 minute procedure done in office certain restricions apply.
I dont know the guy but it sounds like maybe price goes up when you get there. Anybody have any ideas cause that seems a bit cheap but it is a deal if no catch

I don't know much about ESWT but these same type of ads came out when I had my Lasik eye surgery. Basically this was the rock bottom price if you didn't need any 'enhancements' so one thing I would ask is (after I checked out the reputation of the guy doing this stuff)what happens if the one treatment doesn't work. Do you have to pay that for each treatment? I'm sure others will post about the high/low energy stuff but that's the one question I would ask.

I think that's a very fair price for a doc doing nothing more than a couple of injections. 2 treatments an hour- $1360 and out the door-not too shabby a pay day. Do that a couple of times a month and a new Beemer or Benz is in the garage in no time flat.

I agreed so long as the aftercare isn't included. If you have to see the patient ten times or speak with the patient over the phone 10 times. It comes out to alot less.. Some people pay more for their haircut without any of the overhead or commitment that post ESWT requires.

I had the ESWT high energy done in the western side of PA for $500.00. No additional costs included. I am very pleased with the price after hearing the horror stories on here about the high costs. I did have copays for follow up visits but that was onlt 10 a visit. Happy holidays!!!

Would you mind posting the name of the company that supplied the equipment and how are you doing?

I am 4 months out and have hardly any pain. Sometime if I overdue it I can feel it but other than that I am very pleased with the outcome. I really don't remember the name of the company, but I do remember them saying they were fairly new and small. Very nice technician and very knowledgable about the procedure. Thanks for asking about my recovery. Hope all had a great Thanksgiving.
