Effusion basically means that there is fluid within the joints.

No, an effusion is not normal, but can occur due to injury/trauma, fracture, certain medical conditions, etc. You should discuss your concerns with your doctor.

My mri shows a osteochondral lesion, can this cause pain in the foot as well as the ankle? And what is this lesion from anyway?
