EPF

Here's two interesting abstracts on EPF surgery, both from Dec 04:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15680101

The first suggests overall good success rates (but those with bilateral symptoms or ankle trauma or previous surgery doing the least well); the second suggests that athletes or those who at least walk for exercise do far better than those who are overweight couch potatoes. So who you are may matter when it comes to PF surgery.

Elliott:
The stats in the first paper are really inconsistent with experience. Need to see the whole paper and take a good loook at it.
