Morton's Neuroma

Posted by Chris C. on 3/28/05 at 16:03 (172069)

I've had a very painful neuroma for about 5 years. I can no longer wear 'real' shoes at all! Recently I started the procedure comprised of 4 to 7 shots of 4% alcohol -- it is the most painful thing I've ever experienced. After the second shot, I was so traumatized I had heart palpitations for 1-1/2 hours afterwards!! I would like to know whether I should consider cryosurgery, endoscopic surgery or the newer ligament-releasing surgery (no endoscopy -- can't remember what it's called)? How should I be thinking about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
