Foot sole is hard and splitting and scaling for 4monthsPosted by jjames on 4/12/05 at 17:26 (173075)
I have been to two podiatrist. One thought it was just cracked heels and the other said a hodge podge of things going on. I was prescribed Clobetasol Propionate.05 for two weeks. It is the third week and no better. Have to wrap my feet in cellophone with socks to try to keep them from spitting. It looks like someone is cutting me underneath my feet and the skin is so hard, but will not go away with pumis stone. Help. very painful to walk.

Usually a medication containing urea is used for cracked heals (eg Carmol-40). Clobetasol propionate is a topical steroid so I would not expect it to have a significant effect on cracked heels.
