lipoma pathology

Posted by milley on 4/26/05 at 08:23 (173753)

I am understanding that lipomas do not reoccur in the same spot in less some is missed in the first attempt is that correct? I have had one removed on my cuboid bone twice and now it is back again! What are the odds that a lipoma came be misdiagonsed, from a snovial sarcoma and how would you know the difference?

They would determine what the tumor is with a microscopic evaluation of the tissue removed. Not sure of the answer to your first question.
