Richard, i just had a pair of new balance 925's repaired for my hallicus rigidus problem. The man who did the repair put a piece of metal in the sole and a very slight rocker sole, the problem is that the rocker sole isn't enough in my opinion. Are there different degrees of rocker soles? He also mentioned a morton's extention to immobilize the joint, i'll have to ask the doc about that. Have you ever done this extention and can it help immobilize the joint?

Yes, we actually do the extension to the orthosis more than we modify shoes. The amount of rocker can be adjusted according to what is needed. It is kind of a trial and error modification.
