Can ESWT be used for pain relief for Achilles tendon spurs and bursitis?

We have used ESWT for insertional tendinosis without or without spurring for years. Very effective . There was a paper just presented showing a good or excellent result survey at the six month end point with just one treatment. We will use a second treatment at that end point with patient that don't have an Excellent or good results. There is a much better procedure then surgical correction.

Thanks for the response. My pod is altering my orthoses for my valgus forefoot and he prescribed physical therapy. If no positive response then he'll have orthoses made with deeper heel cups.
I recently went back to him after getting the orthoses from him 12 years ago after a running related tendon injury.
I've had two instant onset injuries from running plus near constant stiffness and varying degrees of pain despite my taking months off at time from running, regular icing, using a night splint, elevation, stretching, etc.
Frankly, I think I've treated it conservatively for years with little or no relief. I think the next step be more radical.
Any thoughts, doctor? And thanks again.

You can avoid achilles tendon surgery with ESWT. Give me an e-mail at (email removed) and I will send you information about ESWT and achilles tendinosis.
