my primary care dr doesn;t think my foot pain is caused by the spur- but nothing else showed on x-ray. so what else could it be? she is sending me to an orthopedic dr.

Read the plantar fasciitis book (The Book) on this website. Heel spurs aren't thought to cause pain. Heel spurs are thought to be caused as a result of an inflamed plantar's fascia or plantar's fasciitis. The plantar fasciitis is probably causing your heel pain. I am not a doctor but this is my understanding from reading this website and other materials and suffering from plantar fasciitis in my left heel. I have a heel spur in my left heel. Get an examination and iagnosis from a doctor who specializes in the foot.
