Dr. Ed;
Good article. If health care is going to take a turn for the better, patients are going to have to take an active role. In my hospital, for one, they are firing LPN\'s to replace them with MAs who have far lower salaries and far less training. This hospital just spent tens of millions on a cardiac unit with talking computers, beautifully polished oak handrails. They are doing everything and anything to look good to the public while the care is going down.

Dr. Davis, good article. I feel that I have taken an extremely active role in my own foot pain and doing my own research. If I had not, I feel that by now I would be a cripple.
