Neuropathic PainPosted by Martin on 7/11/05 at 07:20 (178160)
I've suffered from foot problems for about 10 years, but the heel pain became very severe about 15 months ago, shortly followed by severe pain in other joints and muscles, chronic fatigue etc. I've had every test under the sun, all come out negative, and finally they've settled on saying I have neuropathic pain or neuropathic sensitization. In other words, there's nothing wrong with my tissues, but I'm heightly sensitive to pain in certain parts of my body for 'unknown' reasons.
I've generally made massive progress through diet, supplements, acupuncture, herbal medecine, and just generally being less stressed in life. It really has made a difference and I'm now generally much better. But whatever I do, I can't seem to shift the heel pain!
Does anyone else have heel pain due by neuropathic pain?
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with it? Supplements, drugs, regimes etc?
Most stuff I've read about neuropathic pain is not particularly positive, so any possitive thoughts, comments or suggestions would be appreciated! Many thanks.
