Constant Heel PainPosted by AngeloL on 7/15/05 at 03:14 (178446)
in October 2002 I had heart by-pass operation. One harvest site was inside right ankle. Once the walking regement prescribed by doctors began so did the pain. Started in the ball of foot @ 10 minutes into my walk and has progressed to constant heel pain @ inside front of heel, about 1 inch below harvest site. Pain is 24-7 and area below harvest site is constantly numb and tingley. Several doctors/therapists have informally diagnosed Plantar Fasciitis. I have tried streching daily, changing shoes several times daily along with compression hose and low budget inserts. Vioxx worked the best but now is not available. What else can I do? Please note I have gained 30 post operation lbs over 3 years due to the fact I quit smoking. Profession is self employed maintenance contractor on my feet 8 to 12 hours each day.
