Posted by sandra on 7/19/05 at 02:04 (178604)

just wondering since I have a burning pain and tingling sensation in the left heel, got cortisone shot and it helped me a lot, but two weeks after that I had an EMG and shows nothing, how do I know is this pain is related to RSD ??? could PF lead to RSD ??
thank you.

You need some level of trauma. Your doctor should be able to identify the classic plantar fasciitis with history and examination. You may have some level of Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome in addition to the plantar fasciitis

doubt it-you probably have either RSD, PN, or PF or a combination. The symptoms seems to overlap a great deal. Get another opinion and perhaps some more definitive testing. Best of luck,
