DR Z.....spur removed..Posted by fernando on 7/19/05 at 12:35 (178654)
in what cases you recommend to remove the spur?? I have read many times that it should not be removed since the spur is not the cause of the problem, I checked your website and it looks a good option for me since I have spurs in both feet...but should i have it ????

I use ESWT in most of my chronic plantar fasciosis cases but if I were to do a heel spur surgery I would always cut some of the plantar fascia at the insertion and rasp away the boney at the pf heel interface So yes I would remove the bone spurring
