CONSTANT PAIN

Posted by HSmothers on 7/26/05 at 13:07 (179147)

I saw my doctor for pain in my left foot/heal. They told me I have PF and to basically just stay off of my foot for 8 weeks and take Advil 4 times a day.

Advil and other anti inflamitory drugs do not seem to provide any relief and as a single, working mom I can not stay off of it for 2 months. It is getting worse and sometimes unbareable.

What suggestions do you have and is there an effective surgery for PF?

read the heelpurs. book on this site and familiarize yourself with all treatments, stretching, taping, night splints, ESWT etc.

I had surgery about 6 years ago because of constant pain. I have no pain now most of the time. I wear New Balance running shoes (991 is good), my orthodics, and never walk barefoot. I am walking for about an hour 4-5 times a week. I would love to wear other shoes, but I am afraid of the consequences. Taping my feet helps too when I do hurt.
