use of hot/cold gel pack

I've had heel spurs for approximately one year. Nothing helped, until I tried using my cold pack as a hot pack. The first night, I applied it for twenty minutes, then rested it and then applied it for twenty minutes again. The same the second night. The third night, I only applied it once and have not had to use it again. In the last month, the heel spurs have abated almost completely. Sometimes when I use the treadmill it will tweak some, but it does not bother me later. To not induce it to return, I am only treading once a week at this point and riding an exercycle the rest of the time. Hope this helps some other sufferer. These things are da bomb!
