I cannot wear the Birkenstocks either--within 5 minutes the pain is unbearable.

I like "Naots"--They are sold in the same store that sells Birkenstocks in my area.

The cental 800 number for Naots is 435-3577 if you want to find a store near you that sells them--I bought the style called "Finland"--they are expensive--

They haven't been perfect--I still have pain, but it is much more bearable.
