You are the only other person besides me that I've discovered who has worn out fat pads on the metatarsals. I would be interested in e-mailing you directly regarding methods of pain relief/shoes etc. you have tried. I also have a lot of pain sometimes and am dreading winter and the snow boots!

Maybe if we put our heads together we can compare notes on what we have tried, and find something that helps!
