Several months ago, I started on 1500mg of glucosamine chondroitin combo, my heels have been better lately so I dropped down to 1000mg daily. There are some days I forget to take the second pill and only take 500mg. I have even started my dog (80 lb. Rottie) on 1000mg a day, because her hip has been stiff. There is a special product for pets, but I just give her some of my pills.
