I read that the "Chair Dancing" videos were created by a dancer who had a leg injury and wanted to maintain fitness. So I recently bought two videos from Collage: "Chair Dancing Around the World" (a 45-minute aerobic workout) and "Chair Dancing/Sit Down & Tone Up" (a 20-minute routine that uses light weights).

I've used each about three times, so it is too soon to gauge their worth (the prevailing characteristic of PF is the delayed reaction, no?). Even though you stay seated throughout either workout, there are ways that, in my uneducated opinion, could aggravate PF. Example: Bouncing heels or tapping toes is part of some movements, and I'm trying to modify the motions to put zero stress on the ol' tootsies.

The upshot: I think it's worth a try to keep you doing something -- as long as you are vigilant and very cautious about how you use your feet during the workouts. I made an appointment with a podiatrist today, and I plan to ask about this regimen.

Kind wishes and happy feet to you.
