If you experience any swelling in the area of the spider bite, you can treat it as if it is a mild allergic reaction, Benedryl will help reduce the swelling , its over the counter and dose is on the package. also ice applied to the area , 20 min on and 20 min off also will reduce the swelling. what works great is a bag of frozen vegtables, its sealed and molds to whatever size area you are applying it to, and wraps around easily and can be re used over and over. eileen
