Hi,
just a note about casting. My orthopedic surgeon told me that casting is not a good option because it causes even more problems in the future. He said that circulation to the foot in a cast is minimal compared to a mobile 'uncasted' foot. Also the lack of movement weakens the joints and muscles and one would need a lot of therapy to regain the foot functioning. He added that quite often even if the casting resulted in relief from the PF for a while it would inevitably return because the thing that caused it in the first place would not have been taken away.
