As I posted earlier, one component of my healing process has been Birkenstock's Arizona sandle. However, I want readers to know that the Birkenstocks with the original cork heel have a slightly different feeling footbed than their "closed shoe" styles. I bought the Bodega because I wanted something to wear after summer while teaching. It isn't near as good for me. A clerk later told me that the Tatami etc. lines of Birkenstock do have a slightly altered footbed. These shoes are just too expensive to buy on a trial and error basis. For some pf sufferers this info may work the other way. If the Arizona didn't relieve your pain points, maybe the altered footbed would!
