Standing ex-rays, MRI, EMG

Hi All,
In the search for answers to foot pain, has anyone had an ex-ray taken while standing up, had an MRI of the foot or feet, or an EMG. What does an MRI show?? Or an EMG?? I have asked my doctor about a standing ex-ray--he said that it wouldn't make any difference as the foot formation is the same, whether lying down for an ex-ray or standing up for one. I asked if I could have an MRI done and he said "they don't do feet". Something tells me that he is incorrect on both counts. I have been to a neurologist who did not suggest an EMG--he said my feet were just worn out. I am not really familiar with MRI or EMG. Can someone provide some info on these?? I visit another specialist tomorrow and would appreciate any info I can pick up before then. I don't have time right now to go into foot pain details, but will later. Thanks, Karlen
