I have been in pain since May 30th.Having no insurance,I have only been to a few doctors and finally, first time going to an orthpaedic doctor, have been diagnosed with RSD-reflex sympathetic dystrophy-affects the automic nervous system and there is no cure.

Although,if caught early enough, there is a very good chance that nerve blocks(close to an epideral),it can be reversed!!My pain spread from left to right foot, swelling(inflammation on inner ankle, which acts like tarsal tunnel),much, much pain!I have been on crutches for 14 weeks and today after my nerve block,is the first time I have been pain free since May 30th!!I can live with the back pain!!

Good luck to all here, you have become part of an everyday ritual and I`m sure I will continue for some time to read posts here.
I had all the classic symptoms of pf and just want to let you know that this also affects one side, bottom or upper torso,or whole body.
I remember seeing a post with someone having pain in arm, please be careful and seek a second or third opinion if any type of other pain besides.Ice is very damaging to RSD patients and I am wondering if that is part of the reason that it drove me absolutely crazy!!

I have a long road ahead of me,but am so glad for the diagnosis so I am receiving the right treatment to hopefully reverse this terrible disease and not have to live on painkillers and in agony for the rest of my life!!

Good luck all!!!!
