I have suffered with severe neck problems for many years, trying all kinds of remedies (too many to list). I was finally diagnosed with arthritis in my neck (I have arthritis in several other joints for many years). I found a specialist who injected my neck (two vertebrae) with a small amount of cortisone and within a couple of days I had complete relief. This was done in March 1998 and it has been pain free since. I am just beginning to get a return of some of the neck pain and I will try to get another injection soon (you can probably have these injections twice a year without any complications). The only problem is finding a doctor who will do this procedure. It seems that there are only a few who do this specific injection in the neck. My experience was great and it relieved pain that I had lived with for many years.
