Car accident

Recently, July 27, I was involved in a car accident where my foot must have been under the dashboard. I had bruises on top of my shin,(left side) and about a week later, I started having heel problems.
Does this sound like what we are all talking about here?
I am to see a Podiatrist, and hopefully, he can tell me something that can be done.
I have taped my foot already, used ice, and elevate at night.
HELP.
