Why a GIFT?

If I say the money is intended for the board, then I become a business providing a service and have to pay taxes. Also, if I'm obligated to perform the service, then I'd have to go to the enormous trouble of refunding everybody if I decide to no longer financially and time-wise support www.heelspurs.com. The refund process would cost me more in terms of time than the refunds themselves are worth.
